Adelphoi Volunteers engage in the work of reforming our criminal justice system by developing restorative and supportive relationships with Restoring Justice's clients. Our Adelphoi volunteers have the opportunity to foster the love of community to our clients through one-on-one support. “Adelphoi” is Greek for brother or sister. Adelphoi volunteers become a family/friend role in our client’s life. Through the Adelphoi Program, individuals are matched with Restoring Justice clients for an equal, emotionally supportive relationship throughout the legal process. This program is the heart and life-blood of the Restoring Justice family.
Must be in Houston (long-term).
1-6 months and beyond time commitment.
Bi-Weekly communication with your pairing
Must attend Welcoming/Orientation and 3 RJ community events.
No Adelphoi volunteer can be law enforcement of any kind, past or present.

Young Professionals for Justice is a new program that anyone can join. If you have any skills such as photography, graphic design, baking, art, etc. or a small business, we want you and your skills to help RJ! We are working towards dismantling incarceration through every avenue. This is a much more flexible and individualized volunteer opportunity.
