The legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. is one of radical freedom and a radical witness to Christ's justice for the world. On January 16th, in MLK's remembrance, Restoring Justice and friends will gather and walk to Harris County Jail to sing songs and pray from the street for the 9,000+ detainees to hear our collective love for them. Harris County Jail’s population is so crowded county officials have started bussing people who are primarily presumed innocent hundreds of miles away, separating them from families and support. We will remember them too! The event is free and will help uplift the men and women that are sitting in jail without hope that things will change. We invite you to share with us in song and prayer for the men and women in Harris County and spread hope within those walls.
